What are First Person Shooter games?
First Person Shooter games give you a new perspective from which to shoot people.
Though it existed before, the likes of Doom and Wolfenstein helped propel First Person Shooters to one of the most popular genres in gaming. Third-person rivals it nowadays, but there was a time when the first-person perspective was the go-to. The reason? It puts you right in the heart of the action, making you feel like you're truly involved, as all three examples we're going to share with you today do. There's something alluring about the idea of being a sniper. At least, the movie version of one, anyway. The solitary soldier who is an expert in killing foes before they even know it's coming, waiting patiently on a rooftop across from some overpriced hotel for the right moment. In Sniper Assassin 2, you take on that role. It's simple enough: read the notes about your target before scouring the location to find them, then pop their head off. Just make sure you shoot the right person. Venge.io is a far less solitary experience. Instead, you'll hop into a colourful arena with other players, blasting them down before they do the same to you. Alongside your guns, you can also toss mines, bringing some explosiveness to your arsenal. It's an impressive First Person Shooter that really puts your reflexes to the test. Kour.io is a similar experience. Once again, it sees you getting into a shootout with your fellow players, battling to top the leaderboard. There are numerous guns at your disposal, be it sniper rifles, machine guns or even rocket launchers. So, choose what works best with your playstyle and get after it. There are six modes to choose from, with each tweaking your approach slightly and keeping things fresh. Of course, those are just a taster.
